Hi, all,
I know some of you have mentioned Notezilla as a notes management tool. It is going to be featured on Bits du Jour tomorrow.

Collectors/floating windows/icons

I believe the first PIM program to offer this kind of functionality was ECCO Pro, with its Shooter. The Shooter is very similar to the Zooter in Zoot -- clearly, the Tom Davis liked the idea. Both of ...

Task managers

While the idea of a task manager is very appealing to me, I have never been very good at maintaining the discipline to use them effectively. I say this to put the following recommendation in context (...

Brainstreamer

I checked out Brainstreamer too. I like the concept very much: That is, having different information "types" and keeping them all strung together in a large mindmap that can also be viewed as an outli...

Wikis to HTML

Alexander,
Notebook Wiki (http://notebook.wjduquette.com) does a nice job with exactly this. I just exported my information as a set of HTML files and it did it beautifully, maintaining all the links...
Writing tools

In one of the recent previous topics, someone mentioned writing tools... as opposed to information/note management. Whizfolders seems to be gaining in popularity. No one has mentioned SuperNoteCard or...
Thinking Tools on a USB key?

A few other PIM/outliner related programs that run from a USB drive, though I don't think any of them has the functionality you're looking for:

JJ,
You should definitely look at OneNote 2007... It is supposed to work great with shared documents. It indexes, and you can store most anything within it. You can't imbed an OLE spreadsheet, but th...
Question for OneNote users

Mark and Jack,
Thank you for the responses. I am using OneNote 2007, and I did try the various options in the paste options menu. However, my version of Excel is Office 97... perhaps that is the prob...
Question for OneNote users

Hello,
I'm hoping to get a little help from one of the other OneNote fans on this site. I recall seeing something, perhaps on the Microsoft web site, about pasting a spreadsheet into ON and having it...
Apology for Going Over the Top

Daly,
Only speaking for myself, of course, I don't think you need to apologize. I am sure all of us have experienced the frustration of software malfunctioning for whatever reason. I know there have ...
