New discovery for Mac

Looks like an interesting app. One missing feature seems to be hoisting, but that isn't a deal breaker given some of the other nice features. At $19, it's a little pricey to pick up on spec. Have you ...
Change in hardware/change in software?

I'm curious about how useful the Chromebook can be when you don't have an Internet connection. What still works, what doesn't? I gather from the comments that none of your files are available to work ...
Zoot can do this to some extent. You type the label and the delimiter (usually ":") into the text and then you can use that as a column heading in the grid. So it would just look like this in the text...

I've never had any trouble with the Plex relating to notes, but that's because I never put a lot of information into a notes field. I don't think TheBrain is intended for that use... i.e. using the no...

Last I was aware, the Windows version is still in Beta... is that still the case?

My guess is he's supposed to use his blog to promote his books, but he is a CRIMPer at heart and can't resist trying out and then writing about all the cool tools available.

I've found David Hewson's blog to often contain interesting and insightful views on writing and note taking. His most recent posting compares several note taking apps, and I thought this might be of i...

Excellent in-depth review of TheBrain!
I recently tried to move from an info management centered on TheBrain to one centered around OneNote, but couldn't do it. OneNote, for all its great features, j...
Tinderbox 6 now available

My impressions are still being formed. I haven't had the time to really delve into Tbx6. While it seems that most of what you can do with notes and even how you do it is the same, accessing those comm...

It used to have that feature, but the developer removed it about a year ago, as it was making the app too sluggish, apparently. It was a nice feature that even included automatic keyword linking in th...

Curio 9 Released

If and when George can work out full integration with Evernote, that would go a long way. Right now Curio can import an Evernote note, but edits in Curio do not flow back to Evernote.
Since NoteSuite...

In purpose, the pinboard seems a lot like an adornment in a Tinderbox map, a place to corral related notes. I can see that being useful.
