Can we talk about Info Select?

I remember now what it was that made me abandon the experiment to work with IS 8 again... It asked me to enter my registration code every time I ran it. There's probably a fix, but I didn't have the p...
Can we talk about Info Select?

I recently tried running IS 8 on my Windows 7 machine, but it didn't work very well. I can't remember exactly what didn't work properly, however.
I am probably missing something, but it seems to me hierarchical tags don't offer much advantage. I mean I will get the same result searching for the tag "dog" as I will for one with the hierarch "Ani...

Greetings,
So, taking up the challenge of creating a taxonomy for "outliners," I've done a little sketching and thinking in Tinderbox and come up with a little theory.
First of all, let me propose t...

Peter,
Have you read Steven Berlin Johnson's article about how he uses DevonThink? It's insightful:

Inspiration is an interesting application and has been around a while. I think it suffers some from its main focus on the school market.
In my recent comparison of Windows outliners (it is available...

Hi, Peter,
I can't comment much on reference management or PDF annotating, as I don't do much of that (I've been using Papers for that, but I haven't leaned too heavily on it, so don't want to make a...

Well, the first task then is defining what we mean by "outliner." My own personal definition is different than those that seem to be used most here. The definition that fits what we collectively mean ...

I've spun off this topic from another thread. Bill suggested that we develop a taxonomy for outliners, which is a great idea in theory. In practice, however, I'm not so sure. For a glimpse of the uphi...
I am very gratified that my reviews have generated this kind of discussion. I'm certaininly learning a lot myself (both doing the reviews and reading the comments here and on my site).

Strange. There is no such OPML export option in my version of Bonsai, which I only downloaded and installed last week, so it should be the latest. I'm using Bonsai in trial mode. Maybe you have to pay...
