Moo.do 3.0 coming soon: feedback new design? 5/25/2017
... and in fact it's jammed solid, so I've had to exit from the app. But it's just a bug.
Moo.do 3.0 coming soon: feedback new design? 5/25/2017
And finally (must get back to work), the "insert link" dialog box in e-mail doesn't vanish if you change your mind. In fact, there doesn't appear to be any way to get rid of it...
Moo.do 3.0 coming soon: feedback new design? 5/25/2017
Also, I notice that if you change the status of an e-mail to e.g. "NeedsReply", the change isn't automatically propagated to the other panes (e.g. Outline, Calendar). This really should be changed.
Moo.do 3.0 coming soon: feedback new design? 5/25/2017
Just one teensy criticism. You can spontaneously click on hashtags to drill down instantly into tagged items, but you can't do the same thing with at-tags (e.g. @today). If you could, that would mak...
Moo.do 3.0 coming soon: feedback new design? 5/25/2017
Wow, that's pretty damn cool ! *Love* the little bits that leap in and out of view as you start dragging an item (e.g. an e-mail) from one pane to another (e.g. days/times in Calendar pane) This sh...
reMarkable Paper Tablet 5/24/2017
Aaaaaargh! Paul and Hugh, you are, of course, right, I've been dreaming of my very own iPad Pro to hold and cuddle and whisper warm things to since they first appeared. As an inveterate CRIMPer, I su...
reMarkable Paper Tablet 5/24/2017
They talk about OCR in their extensive notes to the product - the reason they're not offering it (yet) is that they haven't found a solution that works well enough. But they're certainly looking at it...
Notes Plus now for iPhone 5/24/2017
Aaargh! You're making me think CRIMP! CRIMP! CRIMP! I've secretly been ogling iPad Pros (the only ones that work with Pencil, so I know you have one!) for a while now, but can't honestly justify the ...
Things 3 is released 5/22/2017
Judging by the enthusiastic reception, I suspect it will. As a non-script-oriented person, one of the little things I find nicest about Things 3 is the way you can easily open projects or areas in ne...
Things 3 is released 5/22/2017
For those interested in playing with Things 3, a trial version is available from the Cultured Code website (https://culturedcode.com/things/). It's a very cleverly designed app - the more I've played...
Things 3 is released 5/22/2017
Things has two different date settings: a "When" date and a "Deadline" date. If you set the "When" date only, it assigns the task to the specified date. So I've got a couple of tasks arranged for Wedn...
Things 3 is released 5/19/2017
Sorry, no, I'm wrong; Things only supports links to files, not the files themselves. Shame, but at least useful. Nice review here, incidentally: www.macstories.net/reviews/things-3-beauty-and-delight...
Slidium, by the makers of smartdown 5/19/2017
Interesting new app by the makers of smartdown (Neomobili), which is a pleasant markdown app (alas, Mac only) with folding capabilities (you can fold headings, and it treats subheadings as lower level...
Things 3 is released 5/19/2017
Yo Luhmann, Having had a little play - and been really rather impressed - I can confirm that Things 3 does indeed support images and any other file you like. You simply drag and drop files into notes...
PDFs on my Ipad 5/15/2017
For your tagging purposes, Magenda, you may want to take a look at Together, which is a very powerful information management app. Like the Dropbox app mentioned by Donovan, you can save PDFs to Togeth...
jotting in mac: NoteAway, Curiota, nvALT or Unclutter 5/15/2017
Jo Paul! Gut, dich wieder zu sehen! Yep, I've used both, and they're really rather good, although Paul's reservation is quite right. The better of the two is TaskCard, which has all the features of N...
Tagspaces 5/11/2017
Hm, TagSpaces has made some huge advances. I particularly like their article on Cryptomator (sounds very useful for all kinds of other uses, too), and the fact they supply an open-source WebDAV server...
Dynalist adds Tag Panel 5/9/2017
How cool is that! I love the explicit numbers next to tags (more apps should do that, IMHO), and the sorting of tags by frequency (although it would be nice to have other options too). Dynalist is l...
jotting in mac: NoteAway, Curiota, nvALT or Unclutter 5/9/2017
I agree; it would be cool to have Stickies on iOS as well - I think that would make it a preferred jotting medium for me.
Come back, Paul Korm - we need you! 5/8/2017
Mein lieber Paul, komm sofort zurück! Ohne dich macht's sehr viel weniger Spaß! Und niemand hat deine Kommentare übelgenommen - wirklich! Beste Grüße, Bill
jotting in mac: NoteAway, Curiota, nvALT or Unclutter 5/8/2017
Quite agree about Curiota - I use it for saving web pages (as PDFs), plus all sorts of little jottings. I also use Unclutter for taking quick notes and as a clipboard extender (does that very nicely)...
Collaborative Outline about Outliners that work on both macOS and iOS 5/5/2017
I think the issue here is the term "outliner". What exactly do you mean by "outliner"? For example, I suspect I'm right in thinking that you don't regard two-pane (notebook-style) outliners as valid ...
Collaborative Outline about Outliners that work on both macOS and iOS 5/3/2017
MagicalPad probably belongs on there, too, although development seems to have ground to a halt
Code Sector releases Direct Folders 3.8 - half price today 4/22/2017
Like yourself, this was one of my first go-to apps for Windows. Amazing! Ah well. Macs have most (but not all) of this functionality built-in.
Dynalist iOS beta 4/22/2017
Really quite impressive. And another nice addition to the increasingly crowded Mac outliner space!
