Markdown everywhere
1/8/2018
Ha, yes, Typora - I entirely agree with you; what a superb Markdown editor it is!
It's just a bit tragic that there isn't an iOS version, but it's vastly superior to almost everything else for sheer ...
Dynawrite

Very succinct! And highly desirable.
That was one of the weaknesses of the new app Agenda that's just undergoing beta testing now. But the latest beta (c4) has resolved the - fairly serious - scrolli...
SheetPlanner 1.0
1/8/2018
Sounds seriously cool. But as Paul says - go on, let us have a couple of teasers. Maybe some alpha/beta screenshots? That's guaranteed to have CRIMPers salivating!
I've just discovered the macOS and iOS app MWeb has a very powerful static site generation feature, along with some nice built-in themes.
What's more, the resulting pages load very fast indeed.
Work...
True, true, but it's not as easy to use. On the other hand, it is (much) more powerful. And that's the thing, innit? Loads of power but not as user-friendly; amazingly user-friendly but somewhat const...
Left - a minimal writing program
1/5/2018
It's rather good, in its minimalist way. I notice the window has to be a certain width, otherwise the left-hand bar disappears (may explain your issues, washere).
But alas, there's no search function...
I've just come across an app that's really intrigued me.
Now I know it's not strictly relevant to outlining, but we're all wo/men of the world, and I strongly feel others will enjoy this rather lovel...
infoqube update
1/2/2018
How I would love to play around with InfoQube. But alas, until it makes its way onto Mac, it's a pleasure I shall have to forego.
Something of a reversal of expectations in this forum, given the numb...
DataGist

I've been playing with this, too, and actually rather like it. But without a desktop equivalent, it is - as you say - something of a 2-day wonder.
Has one outstanding sync feature, however: it's simp...
Happy New Year wishes
1/2/2018
A very happy and successful New Year to everybody!
I'm looking forward to folding in future versions of Ulysses and possibly also Bear. While I love Outlinely, it hasn't progressed very much over the...
No.
Although Scrivener comes pretty damn close.
Happy New Year!

Ninox
12/23/2017
Both Ninox and Tap Forms share a particular idiosyncrasy: records are displayed as both lists and forms. In Tap Forms' case, you can expand the list to look like a spreadsheet, while still seeing the ...
Ninox
12/23/2017
They're also working on an updated version of the Ninox Server (due for release Q1 2018, I gather). There's the Ninox Cloud, a service you can subscribe to (and is reasonably priced, in fact), but the...
Winterfest sale - Panorama X
12/23/2017
Just a suggestion, but having had a quick look over Panorama X's features, I'm wondering if Tap Forms Organizer can't do many of the same things?
For a lot less lolly...?
CRIMPing alert: new app looks fascinating!
12/22/2017
I haven't paid for the upgrade yet because I don't (currently) need the handful of features the Pro version adds on. But otherwise I'm using Agenda in anger; it does warn me if I try doing something (...
CRIMPing alert: new app looks fascinating!
12/22/2017
Ha, yes, good point - I'd forgotten about Lotus Agenda. Rather a nice piece of software, back in the day!
I remember spending endless hours trying to tame Lotus Notes (in some ways very much ahead of...
CRIMPing alert: new app looks fascinating!
12/21/2017
Oh dear, I recently received an extraordinarily tantalising e-mailer from a company I'd never heard of before.
They've been busily developing an app that appears to be a kind of notes/journal/diary/t...
Tap Forms on Sale
12/20/2017
Sorry, Franz, quite right - I copied the Wim Hof URL for somebody else. Certainly nothing to do with databases ;-)
Tap Forms on Sale
12/20/2017
The latest version is really quite impressive - it's nice to see somebody taking database development seriously in the face of FileMaker's total dominance of the low-medium end of the market. Mind you...
I suppose the only way they could pull it off is by being able to check that you've got a previous version of MindNode on your machine - if you didn't, and if they'd already pulled the early version f...
I've just installed MindNode, after re-reading Paul's enthusiastic recommendation. And lo and behold, what do I find? It allows owners of previous versions to upgrade effortlessly, provided the previo...
VoodooPad showing signs of life
12/15/2017
Well, that's prompted me to get out and dust off my copy of VoodooPad. I'd forgotten just how powerful it is, I must confess. I haven't played with sync yet, but probably will over the next few days.

Manuscripts now free!
12/13/2017
Well, the wonderful Matias, one of the team behind the previously rather expensive but very good app Manuscripts, has just announced that they've found a sponsor and are about to open-source the whole...
RightNote webbooks
12/13/2017
Yes, as Pierre says, you need to ensure that the entire Dropbox folder is being synchronised to your iPhone/iPad.
The best tool for doing this is, as I mentioned in my previous remark, Readdle Docume...

I've noticed the double-posting glitch generally happens over slow internet connections. No idea why that should be, but it's not a major issue.
