10/23/2019
Ken, I think this *is* the long-promised update. On the Mac App Store yesterday the release was headlined "Welcome to Todoist Foundations..."

a few thoughts about infoqube
10/19/2019
Pierre, InfoQube is great. I agree with 100% of the comments above. Just please make installing new versions smoother? It seems like a non-standard process, and Windows 10 always complains about t...

Sorry, I don't trust non-SSL, bare IP links like this. This once bounces around inside Telia for several hops and comes out at solutionlanguage.com, a page that has interesting screenshots of so-cal...

Noteplan 2.0 is here, on time

@George
There's a distinction in macOS between Apple Calendar (the application) and Apple calendars -- i.e., calendars stored and synced via iCloud.
So, you can use add a Google account to the Accou...
Noteplan 2.0 is here, on time

I use @ for “context” (place, people, etc.) and # for tags, even if the application does not support, or does not make a distinction between @ and #-prefixed metadata. So, even in handwr...
Quire.io (free until mid-2019)
10/13/2019
Well, what I'm seeing in the beta is *sort of* like that. It's a bit confusing. On the home page we can treat a project like a folder and add sub-projects, but when viewing the project you don't see...
Quire.io (free until mid-2019)

I picked up the Todoist Foundations v12 beta today (October 8 release). Projects can now have sections. But I don’t see a Kanban view. Maybe that will come later?
TheBrain 11 - Beta Testing Started
10/10/2019
Thank you for the notice, Dominik/
Looks like TheBrain is calling this an alpha test rather than beta, because, they say, they haven't tested the app on various platforms.
Migrate from Dynalist to Outlinely
10/7/2019
I read this blog post when I was considering whether to stick with Dynalist or move to something else. Made a lot of sense to me.

Agenda
10/7/2019
I'm not sure what a "good compare is". From my own experience, I've worked back and forth between the two and settled on Agenda as it became pointless to work with two apps that are essentially the s...
Back to the real point of this thread.
Neville, I hadn't tried Clibu until your mentioned your alpha test. It does indeed work well on Safari on macOS -- and also has interesting possibilities in Sa...
Thank you for your efforts, Neville. The new feature is interesting.
BTW, Safari 13 on macOS does not like the Clibu demo -- a stern voice delivers a message about a SQL problem. The demo is fine ...

Looks like they released a buggy version and had to pull it from the App Store

Would something like a self-hosted instance of WordPress (or similar CMS) be useful?

This is my sense, too. I use a few iOS/MacOS apps such as ZoomNotes and MarginNote, whose Mac version has close to 100% of the features as the iOS versions. But I prefer working with them on iOS b...
RFC - New Software Project: Infosqueezer

Good to see there will be documentation. I think only a vanishingly small number of people know or care to know what an XML transform is, let alone how to write one. So if you let others have the ...

I emptied the penny jar and bought it, used it for 24 hours or so. I think I'll just write off the cost to excess enthusiasm. I won't delete the app, but I won't be keen to experiment more. I see n...

Got it. Looks pretty much the same as the old version. A lot has happened in macOS since the last version (e.g., share extensions, menubar extras) but the new version doesn't seem to take advantage ...

Yes, I agree. In fact, GoodNotes abandoned it’s earlier approach to creating a new Mac version (v5) the old way, and adopted the Catalyst approach. There is now a beta available on Catalina ...
