I just asked ndxCards on the forum there for a roadmap or vision statement, and was pleased with the results.
For example, they are committed to continuing development of the outliner and -- Stephen ...
MyInfo 4 Beta

Bob, I am a little ticked with Milenix. They fell way behind their schedule and, in spite of having the blog, didn't provide any information about the delay.
Their are still issues with web pages. Wh...
What's so great about Zoot?
8/26/2007
Zoot has neat little twists that shows he admiral knew what he was about.
For example, the-pre-selected columns, and the way the first line of a note also becomes the subject or title if not otherwis...
Zoot Grows on You

Stephen, my apologies for he delay in getting back to you. I inadvertently overlooked your post.
Yes, I include IH.
I like both.
But I find there is nothing sufficiently lacking in Zoot to justify ...
Zoot Grows on You

Now that I am using Zoot for my only PIM, I am getting happier and happier, and getting more done.
I am convinced that I and many other people have been wrong in thinking the initial learning curve i...
Zoot Questions
8/10/2007
I am converting all my information management to Zoot 32.
Even without RTF, there is nothing else on the market that massages info as well as Zoot, and many of you know that I have spent the last few...
Impressions with Zoot32
7/31/2007
I'm glad you guy are liking Zoot. I think RT is to come. As for other features I do not know.
Hoover, I think between Surfulater, and simply saving and linking to eb items from Zoot, that it is the o...

Jan, thanks for your detailed post -- helpful as usual.
I like the changes I am seeing.
I hope they have a hoist in mind, as well as multiple open windows -- both are essential for a two-pane progra...

Debrief Notes
7/12/2007
The more I look at the Debrief Note paradigm, the more I am taken by its approach. Whether there are too many buttons or not are, in a sense and at this stage, a silly issue.
Rather, I'd like to see ...
JJ, I really appreciate your work. Thank you.
I have never trusted UR completely for web captures.
I use Surfulater.
If I knew I would always, forever, use Firefox I would use Scrapbook because it ...
Making Zoot the Single Info Product
7/9/2007
Steve, ho do you use Debrief, and what do you see it as its strengths. Not too long ago some folk here were critical o the program -- and I wonder if you feel there are valid issues that would keep on...
Making Zoot the Single Info Product
7/9/2007
As many of us salivate at the prospects of Zoot in its 32-bit form, I am increasingly curious about ways people have chosen to use it as their only, or primary, information product. The question seems...
MDE Infohandler
7/9/2007
In his release of Infohandler 2008 it is clear that Manfred has made some obvious and significant changes. I am wondering if anyone has a sense of why these changes. The question has come up a few tim...
ADM -- in case u were wondering
7/5/2007
Jan -- a crazy thought!
Do you think ADM has wind of what might be in Zoot32, and decided it couldn't compete.
The assumption is that the Admiral is simply going to give us 32-bit version of Zoot 4 ...
ADM -- in case u were wondering

Jan, given the gentlemanly way you wrote that letter, and the lack of response, I wonder how you would write it today.

Stephen, I originally thought as you did.
I think Eric was certainly ADM's front man, that he may even had originally conceptually ADM.
In reality I think Eric's life has revolved more around vario...
ADM -- in case u were wondering
7/2/2007
Jan, I am not surprised. Increasingly I am wishing ADM was being developed.
It was one thing that Eric, who quotes Gandhi, treated us like crap.
I would have thought that Arne, as a seasoned busine...

An observation, Ken. It wasn't so long ago that Kinook could do no wrong. UR was the wonder kid on the block. More recently, we are hearing repeated complaints about error messages, and my observation...

InfoSelect 2007 - Experiences?

Dominik, sometimes it is helpful to talk about competitor's products on the forums if done constructively.
I'd suggest keeping an eye on MyInfo -- also I wonder how MDE Infohandler might work for you...
InfoSelect 2007 - Experiences?

Jon, IS does have some appealing features.
Pinning of notes is one. UR doesn't even want to talk about having multiple windows. I hope MyInfo is going to have such a feature in its new version.

Snippet/archive/library tool

I have used MyBase long ago -- but for some reason it is no appealing.
I like columns and metadata capability. Thus MyInfo, UR, or ADM (RIP).
