I notice that both Evernote and Ultra Recall allow you to copy links to their items, and these links can be pasted into another program - enabling the user to navigate to the Evernote or Ultra Recall ...
come to think of it .. this sounds like only one-way synchronization ... from files/folders to Evernote, but not from Evernote to the files/folders.
Whereas UltraRecall goes both ways, I think.

Instead of using "inline notes" to attach notes to an outline item, why not just put the same notes in subitems for that item? This is why I don't miss the absence of "inline notes" so much.

Looks pretty nice. Free for desktop app and 99 cents for android app, the price is certainly right. Syncs with Google Docs, so not hard to move data to other programs.
