Ultra Recall v. 6.0

Ah, i think the program I remember was Info Select.
Ultra Recall v. 6.0

I barely remember that from my MS DOS years. Didn't it start off as square notes that would populate the deskttop, and as you typed a search they would disappear down to what you were searching for? I...
I had high hopes for Ashton-Tate's "Framework" in the mid-80s. I was on a teacher's salary, and it had a ridiculously high price ($695?). I finally located a marked-down one at a local software place ...
Can you point me to the Curio forum? URL?

It is a bit unusual. Banner is a large database system, and it comes in several versions. As new versions are released, one can choose to stay with the previous version if there is no benefit to upgra...
I'm the only Mac person at the college (2nd largest college in Louisiana, second only to LSU), so my Mac part will just be for me to teach myself.
Most of the work of the department chairs will be t...
Filemaker Pro just created a cloud version. Since 1998, I've been making run-time programs and distributing them to about 12 people across the college 6-7 times a year. Banner is a panacea compared to...
Actually, this IS pretty much the database structure. And Filemaker Pro would allow pasting of screen shots in the database. I've used Filemaker Pro since it was known as Leading Edge Nutshell (I'm s...
I realize that my challenge is sort of an odd one.
What I need to learn (and then teach others) is part of a much larger Human Resource system (named Banner) that is essentially a huge relational da...
The feature that made me favor Tinderbox is the ability to have boxes on the left, but organized text at the right. DevonThink just seemed too "small" to me.
I have been trying to like Curio for yea...
I do have Filemaker Pro, and that might be good if I have a means of multiple fields to act as tags.
I am faced, once again, with a project building a database that assigns faculty to classes, sets up payment rules for those classes, and then runs a routine merging faculty with classes and tell HR wh...
NeO has a breath of life

I just updated it. Now to see how it gets along with Catalina.
If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't have installed Catalina on my office Mac (I didn't on any other Macs). The revised iTunes (now called Music) doesn't seem to be compatible with iPods (I ha...
Did anyone get an email announcing BRAINIO?

I see that I crossed paths with it about 3 months ago, but no vestige of it on my computer. I must have gotten distracted.

It sounds like something that could fill a niche, and two years free subscription suggests that the makers feel it will grow on us.
Online alternatives to DevonThink?

I'm having trouble getting it to work with the Fuji SnapScan.

Columns in Ecco Pro

They were nifty, and could be formatted in different ways. I haven't tried to replicate them in OmniOutliner.

Their website doesn't seem to be working for me, so I'm not sure what it is other than something that would probably interest a few of you here.

I'm interested as well, as I'm not really comfortable with Evernote as a DevonThink replacement. But price *is* an object, and I don't think I can afford the cloud services that could compete with Dev...
Evernote's new editor

They asked me to take part in a survey that would take about 20 minutes. It went something like this:
Gender: male
Age: 66 or older
Thank you. That's all we needed to know.
I'm assuming that, due ...
I bailed out of Adobe, but seriously miss PhotoShop and Audition.
iMindMap and DropTask merged into Ayoa
10/19/2019
I really don't like the interface of AYOA. I would prefer DropTask and iMindMap. With both of those phased out and Tony Buzan no longer living, it's time to migrate to other apps.
And Pagico 9 is now out...

I'm finding the version 9 interface a bit more inviting.

The only time I use windows is when making a Windows app via Filemaker Pro. I made the switch to Mac at the college when they put so many restrictions on the end-users that using Windows became a chor...
