I thought it was but upon further investigation it seems Office 2016 is still being sold. See https://products.office.com/en-us/compare-all-microsoft-office-products?tab=1. The version I was using w...

Not true ! Microsoft are not issuing any new licenses for Microsoft Office, the ones on sale now are the ones which were previously issued by Microsoft. Furthermore they are deleting existing licens...

When I buy a program it keeps on working (or at least it's supposed to keep on working) indefinately. Yes I agree there are many programs you can use to open Microsoft Office files so why not use Lib...

I am not a subscriber. I don't believe in rental software - or 'Software As A Sentence'. To be fair TheBrain Technologies model of 'Software As A Sentence' where you get left with a working copy of ...

Tinderbox / content visualization software for windows? 8/27/2018
InfoQube (http://www.infoqube.biz/) is the only thing I have found other than ConnectedText which does the emergent structure thing. Looking at it's manual and reading about it I think Tinderbox may ...

Outline/reference on the left, work on the right; skeuomorphism or deeper reasons? 8/26/2018
I have tried it both ways round and I always find I am more comfortable with the notes/text on the right and the tree/outline on the left. I don't know if this is a result of my culture or not. I ha...
Causality ... 8/12/2018
Seems similar to yWrite ( http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter6.html ) except a little more sophisticated, but yWrite is free whilst Causality is expensive.
RightNote 4.6 8/6/2018
Yes now that you mention it the toolbars are drawn slightly later than the rest of the screen when resizing the window but this is such a small delay as to be barely perceptible.

RightNote 4.6 8/4/2018
I thought it was 2, some programs seem to be limited to 2Gb on 32 bit systems, I don't know, looking on the internet there are some who quote 4 Gb as the limit which would make the extre usage of RAM ...
RightNote 4.6 8/4/2018
In a 32 bit version of Windows the RAM is limited to 2 Gb whatever the physical memory in the machine. In a 64 bit version of Windows I don't know what the limit is but certainly more than any machin...
RightNote 4.6 8/4/2018
I'm running Right Note on an old desktop machine and a more recent laptop, I have never noticed any flicker. In response to 4.6 being released I thought it was about time to do a review. So I did. ...

TheBrain 9 is out of beta 7/14/2018
The biggest disappointment with TheBrain 9 is the fact that TheBrain 8 used to have a floating notes window that I could place on the second monitor and have the plex displayed full screen on the firs...

Why no love for MyBase? My early review: 7/10/2018
