Mac OSX as a PIM?
6/13/2007
That's funny.
How did I do it in 3 days? Let's just say I didn't sleep much during those 3 days and worked on the laptop full time. It's good thing that I usually have download files on my hard di...
Mac OSX as a PIM?

Vince,
I bought a new MacBook a month ago to supplement/complement my Thinkpad T60p with Vista. In the beginning, I was using the Thinkpad as my main laptop and the MacBook as a backup (about 80 to ...

Thanks for the suggestions and the offer for discount!

I would also agree with DO being an excellent tool.
I haven't found anything that comes close it terms of power and flexibility.
However, it does take some time to discover all the power/feature wit...
Ike,
Interesting. I've switched from Evernote to UR, and I have to say UR is so much more feature rich and adaptable that I don't see myself ever going back. I've touted Evernote here and elsewhere...
Reducing my PIM/Knowledge/Writing Tools

Dominik and others,
It's interesting that we all share a similar experience.
I mentioned my experience elsewhere; so, I won't go into a lot of details here, but several short tries in UR over the ye...
I also tried UR several times and then dismissed them as not suitable until one day I bit the bullet and tried it for an extended time (e.g., sevaral days), and now I'm hooked.
Citavi looks promising...

Daly,
I understand your frustration, and sympathize. Having said that, I think the problem you might be experiencing could be your system specific. I for one had no problem with UR, Firefox, Launch...

Trying to Trust Launchy

Jan,
Thanks for the tip about turning off keywords. I don't transfer too many web pages consecutively to have found the delay unacceptable. Also, Launchy has worked perfectly for me in my system; s...

Daly,
I have not had any problem with Launchy within Firefox 2.0x with UR 3 (now 3.02).
It does take UR a bit time to import the page; so, I'm not sure what happens if you copy multiple pages quickl...

My vote would be UltraRecall v3.
For the past month or so, it has become indispensable in my life.
I would also recommend IdeaMason for any non-fiction writing.
MyInfo vs UltraRecall
