Ultra Recall - by far the most complete and versatile PIM there is, IMHO :) , used 24/7 at work/home to store every important information I come across so that I can concentrate on thinking and undert...
What to do? Simple. Stick with one PIM and system, and be happy what you have.
You mention Win 8, who apart from M$ cares about it? XP does all you need, no need for Vista, 7, ... whatever ...

one thing I forgot to mention, viliv s5 (and probably most of the tablets/ipad/...) is very hard to read on sunny day, that means I have to go for a seat that's in shade in tube/train ;-)

For what it's worth, I'm using viliv s5 at the moment (last half a year), it's a PC in the pocket (new 340 pounds off ebay).
It doesn't have multitouch bla bla bla, ... but I can have all the same so...

Don't know the answer to your question as I try to minimize the amount of "not important" info in my UR databases. The reason is, that UR won't be able to come even close to what dedicated search/ind...
I really can't see any purpose in the link going all around the empty space, ... might be just me ... in any case thanks for suggestion.
