Well, here's one:
http://www.screenplay.com/
Outline 4D for $49.00.
But that's a recurring deal (a few times a year), and it's incredible that they are still flogging a software that hasn't been updated for well over a decade...
It still works, but there are a couple of bugs that can produce crashes even in Windows 7 (you can learn to avoid them though).

2017 Black Friday(ish) Dynalist offered a year for 50% off. But considering that earlier in the year they'd allowed people to permanently lock in 50% savings if they'd subscribed by summer, their Xmas offer was not enough for me to go for it.
Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they again made that 1-yr offer.

Seemingly a very generous offer I intended to take advantage of. A free license might motivate me to figure the program out.
But, Pierre, your procedures are as obtuse as your writing style. In obtaining a free license, I really did not expect this presumptuous hoop: "To activate your account, reply to this email and describe in a few words, your interest in InfoQube and more generally, information management tools."
So I have the account. How do I get the license? Could you just e-mail it to me at srdiamond@gmail.com?

Following up on this generous offer, I should clarify that I have a license key since donating for SQL Notes -- and I just realised that that was in 2008!
Consider the updates that InfoQube has received since, and Pierre never asking for license holders to pay again. He's a registered serial generous guy ;)
I believe that he is purposefully not announcing v1.0 of InfoQube in order to not ask for money...
@Pierre, seriously, many thanks for this opportunity. I've taken advantage to request separate licenses in the name of the two organisations that I manage; I will be the sole user in both cases, but I prefer to keep discrete licenses for machines which are not owned by me directly, and keep mine for my own computer. FYI, both requests will come from software@ emails.

I've bought many a gadget and software in 30 years of trying to organise my material. This is one of those I have not regretted buiyng, in fact I am enthused.
I have ended up with few tools and simple methods which I can maintain under stress and in changing environments. reMarkable is such a tool.

$49? I got Ouitline 4D for $39, but that was a few years ago. Often devs come through their work. Some are good, some bad, some mixed, occasionally some angels and some wreak of evil however much lipstick on the pig or perfumed words. But most are just ordinary guys and girls that make software that you enjoy.
Does it matter? Isn't it like filling up your car's tank? No. Apart from updates, service, ongoing dev, communication etc., their spirit comes across in the UI design, functionalities etc., atleast for me. YMMV. It is not like filling your car for me, the character comes through. Good or twisted or mix of, using it, the dev gets under the skin.
Thirdly they cost a fortune. Why? Because as I read about someone here recently spending numerous hours on an app with no or little joy, usual gig here, I remembered lessons I learned from testing hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of apps. And why I got to be fast doing it. Because even if you are illiterate, not highly educated as some of us, you should multiply those numerous wasted hours on a twisted app by the minimum wage (if not your professional normal hourly rate) and you see the minimum that guy just cost you. A small fortune with big vampire apps! Fourthly it costs your life, like losing hours to cigarettes or quality time you could have spent with loved ones or on a hobby or leisure or R&R etc. All the above is the cost of a genuine gift, or a Trojan horse.
So calculate how much each app is costing you, really!
That's how I learnt to assess apps, how much time+learning curve+usage vs benefits. Is it an heavenly angel or a psychic vampire? i can smell them now after a few minutes. Outline 4D is an old app with an outdated libkit look and i can only laugh at people who tried the check for update option in the help menu anytime this decade. But it is unique in what it does and how it outlines in many ways and that is why it sells. I still use it sometimes. Lastly, the good spirit of the dev shines through. Unlike much Dracula bloatware, this is a goodie, for me uses at least. I hope he is well and long may he run.
Here is an oultiner app which is not a psychic vampire either:
http://www.efficientnotes.com/screenshots.htm
Usually $30 but now on sale for $24, you can download to try before you buy:
http://www.efficientnotes.com/download.htm
Or thanks to this angelic app, you can use it straight away and also have it for free, on first launch register with these details:

Comes with 1 year free updates from date of install too.

I got one for my wife when it was on sale for $419. She likes it, or more accurate, it's the tool she needs.
The experience is close enough to paper so she can tolerate using it (she doesn't like to write on "glasses" at all). The sync function is very useful for her - she often left the note at home and only found out when she needed it.
But I think that's about it. Even though I also like the feel of writing on it (really, it's the best out in the market), the lack of functions won't be a good fit to my usage. Personally I will continue to use my Boox Note.

You're actually not too far from the truth, which is that there is something scary in actually "selling" something, and although I know that time is approaching, I'm still not ready to cross that bridge just yet !
To date, 31 "outliners" have taken advantage of this offer and I just sent out the 32 licenses (you got 2, after 10 years of using IQ et al, I guess you deserve the two you asked for !)
Sorry for the delay in sending these, I was very busy finishing up v111 which adds these major features:
- Welcome to IQ sample IQBase now includes the full User Manual
- Live-Sync your local copy of the User Manual with our server. Install the free MySQL database driver to sync with our server. Updates and new content will automatically sync !
- File Import: Import plain text, html and rtf files. File name saved in the Item and content in the Doc pane
- Live-Search: Show duplicate items. Can find duplicates in any text field, such as emails, phone numbers and URLs

When something is free, and you take it, the only comment to make is…thank you.
I suppose you're one of those who derides critics of the "free" services provided by the likes of google and facebook? Ignorant comment, in that Pierre's hoop made the offer something other than "free."
I don't think Pierre was being consciously dishonest. But your defense is!
