Are there any programs that when you search, they will allow you to search any attached files as well?

I can give you some information about two programs (no personal experience with the feature):
1.
"RightNote" (http://bauerapps.com/rightnote/ offers the feature in its professional version:
"You can use the attachment note type to store any type of file in RightNote.
In the Professional version, the contents of .doc, .pdf, .xls, .htm, and .rtf are optionally indexed and made searchable."
(User Guide, you can find it here: http://www.integritysoftwaresolutions.com/FreedomFiles/RightNoteTest/notebooks/RNUserGuide/notebook.html )
"Professional Version:
– Index contents of attachment and link note types. Support for txt, rtf, htm, html, pdf, doc, docx, csv, xls and xlsx file types."

2.
"MyInfo" (http://www.milenix.com/myinfo will offer the feature in its next major upgrade (MyInfo 7).
Petko (the developer) wrote in his forum in May:
"MyInfo 7 is a work in progress and there is no public roadmap at the moment, however these are the confirmed new features so far:
[...]
* Searching in document attachments (for selected files types like text, PDF, etc)"

Thanks. It took me a while to see it on Rightnote's feature page, and I was still not sure as they mostly refer to indexing rather than searching. It is good to know about MyInfo, but I do not think I will have time to wait for the next version.

Evernote, of course.

TheBrain will also search the contents of attachments, as long as the attachments are stored in TheBrain.

I was going to mention TheBrain, but Steve beat me to it. Ultra Recall has even broader search capabilities than RightNote.

Thank you for these suggestions. I sometimes feel as though I am moving on an endless loop as I try to remember all of the past programs that have been discussed here. For now, I have decided to give both RightNote (which is currently 50% off) and LeaderTask a look (and I understand that the latter does not have search capability) based on their feature sets. I suspect that if I had more time and resources, UR might be under consideration. I have also spent some time watching all of the video tutorials for Wrike, and if they were willing to sell me a professional license at a reasonable price, I might actually spend the money and try them out. I really like their virtual folders and tagging implementation, and their dashboard views seems really helpful as they can offer up a number of custom views on one screen. They unfortunately do not have search capability for attachments, so I am also having to decide if a two program solution might work better for me.
Thanks,
