10/7/2013
It goes without saying that within your file system (physical as well as on your pc), the problem is similar: You have grouped reference material, be them reference material from the beginning or just...

Two ideas:
Even when the "original" item gets a "clone" icon, as in UR, that item does not indicate "cloned to location a" or "cloned to location b", which is a problem whenever you clone standard it...

Jim, thank you very much of the link which I hadn't been aware of.
Alexander, EN not bad, Surfulater perfect, I'm much more interested in this program now than I previously had been!

Armin, thank you so much for your very helpful details!
Informative link I had not seen; I suppose that with just linking photos instead of really importing them, Zoot should do rather well.

Armin, thank you for this overview.
Some software chokes with large databases, AS for example: Its users who use it for specific, well-rounded tasks don't encounter too many problems, in general. On ...

"I believe WhizFolders has a good linking system. It seems pretty comprehensive."
Please forgive me if we share this concept, but we are always speaking of links to OTHER databases, right? Not of int...

For an example, a UR item would be called by this command, from ANY application that allows links in general, for example web links:
ur://C:/UR/i.urd?item=3019,1000
And there is a command in UR that...

WSP, I'm not sure I did NOT mix up those "virtual items" you spoke of, and what I remember from RightNote. I last time checked it out some months ago (cannot trial such things anytime, without having ...

Efficient Lady's Organizer

Maple 8.0 (Prof. 32$) is out, with a better editor, but neither with a better tree, nor with better search.
Efficient Notes (3-pane!) is halfprice, 15 instead of 30$.

Of course, in a relational database, all this would be much more comfortable, but as I said in another thread, AS is a useful quick-n-dirty solution for tasks like crm, as is used by many people to th...

Steven Zeoli just buried highly interesting information about Zoot within the AS listserv:
"The application I have always thought is the best replacement for askSam is Zoot, which you can find here: ...
"I continue to find the documentation daunting, and slight (as in cases where you hit a link and the result is basically a two or three line response which comes up letting you know you reached where ...

Listary Pro has been on bits a lots of time, and is again, today. In the thread "File Search" here, just today, this sale is mentioned.
I felt encouraged to start a new thread for it though, for some...

Some very interesting points indeed.
Total integration is desirable.
I perfectly convene, but let's remember this is just a conceptual problem. Don't forget we are speaking here of "individual, pc s...

This is not a ramble, everything is so true:

I don't know if readers here are interested in this topic, since it has not got any commentary, and it's about a DMS, not an outliner, but it had not been myself who brought this up, and I don't want ...

I am very much interested in DMS, and it has been mentioned here today or yesterday in another thread. I don't think Sohodox is a serious contender, and here is why.
