General Knowledge Base vs Ask Sam vs Idea 1/21/2008
From those that I at least tried, or used, I'd go with Ultrarecall, if my needs included the search capability. With exception of PDF, in the past I have found that UR had problems with indexing PDF, ...
DonationCoder's Discount Sale/Giveaway 1/9/2008
AM Notebook is not bad, but I remember it didn't impress me either. Anyway what I highly recommend is the Website Watcher from same developer - it saves me loads of time, by automatically checking var...

Bonsai 12/16/2007
I only have an experience with Bonsai as a tasklist outliner. Strengths are: - open format - XML - easily extensible exporting capabilities if XML is tough for you - three item types (simple, task, p...
Evernote for free as Giveawayoftheday 11/16/2007
I understand how GAOTD works, and I'm grateful for GAOTD as I could find a use for some titles from GAOTD. All I wanted to express is my opinion that not only their "non-commercial usage" restriction...
Evernote for free as Giveawayoftheday 11/15/2007
on GAOTD web they say Strictly personal usage in readme they say Strictly non-commercial usage it's highly controversial, since some software titles they featured, I can't even imagine to be used non...
MyInfo 4 - nonexistent trial version? 11/2/2007
Most places processing software sales don't accept free email addresses, due to fraud. I have to agree on unreasonable rates of exchange on Share-It. Luckily, I can switch back to USD and pay in USD,...
learning Ultra Recall 10/24/2007
I started small by importing from Treepad and other sources, and was gradually expanding my understanding of UR as my needs were expanding. Also used to visit the Kinook forum everyday, plenty of grea...
Supermemo 10/23/2007
I used it for a number of years, though on a small scale. Great concept. The implementation is not necessarily breathtaking, as it's a bit overcomplicated and has confusing GUI. It takes some dedicati...
Wiki tool for Windows and Mac? 10/19/2007
Well, just for the record, Wikidpad also runs on Win and Mac. Though I'm sure you probably already know about this one.
Wiki tool for Windows and Mac? 10/19/2007
I only know of one desktop wiki that runs on both PC and Mac. NoteStudio, from http://www.dogmelon.com.au/ns/ Not sure how many of your requirements it will fulfill. Moreover, the development was froz...
Bilioscape vs. IdeaMason - 2 (Reply to Dalys post) 10/19/2007
Ideamason's interface (GUI), is in Cons on my list. While the longer one works with it, the less of a problem that becomes, there is a space for improvement.
ConnectedText versus Ndxcards 10/18/2007
I will not be using CT for the time being, but I liked the developer being impressively responsive, and that it is programmable (through Ruby, Python, and a few more).
MyInfo 4 Beta 10/9/2007
MyInfo 4 public beta was finally released.
ConnectedText now is an Outliner with Footnote Function 10/2/2007
The beta is not publically available, but I received a link in a short time after asking for it through contact form (without being a registered user).
Timeto PIM 9/26/2007
The interface is most probably due to it being an old old old software. I remember I have probably tested Above&Beyond first time with Windows 3.1. Looooooong time ago. It's still the same GUI and co...

Mind Mapper Prices 9/14/2007
Out of curiosity, I did a search yesterday on mindmanager oem, and the two stores I visited looked as a scam right on first sight. Moreover, the whois search revealed they were owned by someone in Rus...
Mind Mapper Prices 9/13/2007
OEM software is mostly scam. They will either steal the billing data, or they will at best send you a trial version with a crack or keygen. I would only buy OEM software from a reputable online store.
