I moved away from Notebooks a couple of years ago when I deleted Dropbox from my life, and Notebooks relied on it for sync.
Now Notebooks is back with v11 that features iCloud Sync.
I don't think I will switch back, primarily because I'm quite enjoying Craft now - and I never did pay for the macOS version of Notebooks - so to get the full experience it would mean spending more money.
But for those who do use Notebooks, I'd be interested in your experience with the new version.

Just to make clear, version 11 is the iOS app. The MacOS app is on version 2.4.

What are the capabilities for inter-note linking? Is it possible to link to other pages in the notebook? Or even to link to individual paragraphs or figures on the same page or other pages? TIA…

I haven't upgraded to vs11 it's not for Windows, yet.

Rats, emojis don’t work here. That was meant to be a “thumbs-up”. :-)

From the "What's New" documentation for version 2.1 or the Mac app:
Wiki Links and Links in General
When trying to open a link’s target document and a document with the exact name does not exist, Notebooks applies smarter logic to find an alternative. Here is an example:
Given the link “notebooks://Projects/Documents/Note”, Notebooks now tries to resolve the link in this sequence:
Look for a document “Note” in the book “Projects ⟩ Documents”
Search for “Note” with any extension, like txt, md, jpg etc.
Scan for any filename containing “note”
Peek into editable documents and pick the first one which contains “note”
Ask the user to create the document, provided the original link had an extension of txt, html or Markdown
This strategy provides pretty much freedom and flexibility when creating references across Notebooks.

I did a very quick test and was disappointed. Links work, but the app doesn't auto-generate the link while you type it. That is, you need to know the title of the note you want to link to.

I have to say that despite my enthusiasm for Notebooks (and I regularly liaise with the lovely Alfons to express it!), I too am not overwhelmed by the linking facility – it really doesn’t work desperately well, and sometimes fails at work at all, or works in a totally unexpected way.
However, overall Notebooks continues to make impressive progress, so I still love it. Not least because its footprint is just 15 MB (on macOS), which for such a powerful app is truly extraordinary. Oh, and it’s a straight buy, not a subscription. Yet.
