Jon, if you have tried the new version of Ultra Recall I am curious to know what your thoughts are about it? Also, whether this new version is a sign that there will be. increased emphasis ongoing on Ultra Recall's development? Thanks.

I can easily answer the first question. Nothing is radically different, but there are improvements to usability. The upgrade is well worth the cost for me, but you should know that several of the improvements and new features were requested by me over the years. In considering whether it is beneficial for you to upgrade, I suggest you carefully read the change log. Perhaps most will not consider it worthwhile, but for me it is.
The second question is more difficult. UR is a mature product and development has slowed considerably from years ago. However, Kinook is very responsive to bug reports and issues fixes pretty quickly. The end of version 5's cycle showed increased activity with 12 minor updates. I imagine the past will predict the future, but as for major changes, only Kinook knows. But I doubt it.

I downloaded UR6 and mostly wanted to use it as a document repository. I use a Surface Pro 6 with Foxit Phantom as my pdf handler. UR hosts Foxit beautifully, including portfolios. The problem I encountered was an inability to open a file and annotate it then save it. It now has to open Office 365 files externally.
I wrote Kyle at Kinook about it and he was very responsive. He couldn't duplicate my problem with the pdf errors. I told him I didn't think UR would work for me and without asking, he issued me a refund. I'm impressed with his responsiveness and integrity.

I just bought UR six months ago so was happy to see it was upgraded. Checked in and there's a 60 day free upgrade for major versions so I missed out. But I got it on sale for more than half off so I can't complain, plus the policy is listed on the website.
I installed the free trial for v6 and have just started checking it out. I'm liking the browser extensions and they seem to work fine for what I need.
UR isn't my main program so I'm going to see if it's worth the upgrade to me. With what I've tried so far it may be.
I'm glad to see it's being upgraded though. From what I've read on other websites, the browser extensions seemed to be what most people wanted.
Good job Kinook.
