Hi.
At my present work space we use MindManager. After having played around with a lot of different outliners at my previous work, I now have to use MindManager, as there are very strict company rules for which software to use here.
I try to use MindManager to create a simple outline of our Organisation structure, and I need (of course) to promote and demote topics, as I go along. But I cannot find out how to do this. Can it really be true that this isn’t support in MindManager 6 ?
BR Peter.

I can here. I use a mouse to drag the item to another location on the outline.

As far as I can see, believe it or not, it seems you can’t—with a keyboard. You can of course drag-n’-drop a topic anywhere, thus changing its position in the hierarchy.
I don’t think this is strange—though it does sound rather ridiculous. The outline view was built into the later versions of Mind Manager as an alternative to the mind map view, but I don’t think that Mindjet thought of it as a serious replacement, i.e. for someone to do their actual work here.
For example, the closest things I found to shortcuts for changing an items position were:
Move topic:
Up one place > Ctrl+Alt+Up arrow
Down one place > Ctrl+Alt+Down arrow
To top > Ctrl+Alt+Home
To bottom > Ctrl+Alt+End
Yet none of these work in outline view.
Cheers
