Prompted by David’s observation that the previous list was limited to Windows applications, I’ve collected a list of the Mac OSX outliners and information managers that I’ve looked at. I make no claim that this list is exhaustive.

Thanks for list, Steven.
One thing I miss: Yojimbo (http://www.barebones.com/products/yojimbo/index.shtml) to be filed under “Straight Note Managers”.

Thanks for the reminder, Franz… Believe it or not, I use Yojimbo all the time, so it’s a little frightening that I forgot to include it!
I’ve now added the Mac programs (including Yojimbo) to Pierre’s spreadsheet.

Thanks Steve!
From my list of loose competition, I see InfoValet, Listz, Memoir, MindManager, Notational Velocity, NoteStudio Outliner4X, Personal Brain, SuperNotecard as possible additions. (I’m quite happy using Opal so I haven’t tried these.) Some of these might already be on your list of Windows tools.

Thanks, Steve.

If you’re including Scrivener and Jer’s, it’s quite hard not to also include Ulysses, Nisus, Mellel, CopyWrite, Storyist and StoryMill.
