Today’s update to the Dynalist iOS app finally fixes the speed issues.

The desktop app also added a nice new “item finder”

Considering switching back from Mubu. I still don’t love the non-native iOS app (try dragging something past the bottom of the screen), but overall it really is the best outliner out there right now.

I concur. Dynalist is very good and has become my go to outliner. It has room for improvement, no doubt. But fortunately the developers are continually adding those improvements.

I don't access it much through my iPad, but when I do, I use Safari instead of the dedicated app and that has worked fine. I'll have to give the new and improved iOS app another try. Thanks for the alert.

Dynalist is on the home screen of my iPhone. I like Dynalists' sync with Google calendar, because on the backend I sync TheBrain 9 to the same calendar. Items with dates and notes created in Dynalist show up on the Timeline in TheBrain.

A few more updates came out since I posted this, fixing some of the biggest problems. I've been able to use it for work on my Phone without any serious issues, which is what counts.

Maybe my eyes are getting bad: I just installed the Windows desktop version of Dynalist and cannot find a way to store documents on my hard disk. I know I can backup or export documents. But I do not want to work on an online file - next weekend I will be in a place without internet connection.
Am I missing something? Or does Dynalist simply not allow me to work on local files?

Unfortunately, yet more updates have broken the iOS app. It is completely useless to me again.

Hmm. Looking at the forums it seems it might be an issue unique to using bluetooth keyboards. Hopefully it can be fixed... Till then I have to use Workflowy for input on the go and then import to Dynalist when I get back to my desktop...

So Dynalist's iOS app suddenly started working for me again. That is to say, it no longer freezes upon startup. The developers say it wasn't any change that they made but probably something to do with the latest iOS update from Apple.

(I haven't yet tested to see if there are issues with using a bluetooth keyboard or not.)

I just noticed another update. In addition to being able to add your own CSS, you can make your own keyboard shortcuts for something I've really wanted (and has been available for a long time, probably): navigate up and down by level. I grow too soon old and too late smart. This makes it even easier to move around an outline without taking my hands off the keyboard.
