Looks like Mitch Kapor has withdrawn funding from the Chandler project, and they’ve laid off two thirds of their staff:

It’s unfortunate in a way, but in my view the whole project was over-engineered, poorly designed, and very poorly managed. Also, even though it was run by something called the “Open Source Applications Foundation”, you couldn’t actually contribute code, unlike most open source projects.
Fortunately at least, the CalDAV standard is going stronger than ever.
