Sam Hawksworth has posted an interesting update to Noteliner (version 3.6):

http://www.noteliner.org/i/Main.html

Here is the list of improvements:

- Gantt Charts
- Separate print preferences any document section
- Image copy (e.g. to paste Gantt Charts into PowerPoint)
- Column select and drag
- Other usability improvements (drag web page addresses to Noteliner, and much more)

I haven't tried these as yet.

Wow, that sounds like some major departure from the Spartan nature of Noteliner (which I like exactly for its simplicity). I'm referring especially to the Gantt chart, which I totally didn't expect. But these sound like some great features, so I'm looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hope you like the new Gantt feature. I don't think it adds any complexity, just lets you visualize the dates in a table in the last column of that table. Very simple implementation of Gantt but I find it very quick to use if you just want to lay out and share a simple project timeline. Plus, the dates and info are then part of the document search and filter features so you can stay on top of the tasks. So, there is my plug! Sam

As far as I'm concerned, Sam, there's no need for a plug. Noteliner is one of the best outliners available for Windows. You should be charging for it. Thank you for your generousity and the brilliant work.

Noteliner 3.6.3b with more colour. Nice touch!
