A new version, significantly recast: http://www.zengobi.com/products/curio/

This is a nice update, mostly an interface improvement, but lots of nice new features too. I'm working on a review for Mac Appstorm, which will probably be posted in about three weeks.

I'll look out for the review, Steve.

Hmm. The UI is very much cleaner and somewhat more logical, and I like a lot the idea that figures, including index cards, can be stacked (didn't you suggest that a couple of years ago Steve?). But - I'm fairly certain that in previous versions mind-maps and perhaps other figures could be exported as OPML format text, which if my memory is correct was useful for importing into Scrivener. I can't find that function in Curio 8. I hope it will be added.

Ah - found it. Share > Export as Selected Figure > OPML....

The more I use this, the more I like it - so far, out in front of my list of digital notebooks on the Mac, by some way.

There are some quirks that take getting used to, but it is really a quite remarkable, versatile notebook application. And that's "notebook" almost in the old sense of the word: a place to keep notes and diagrams and other related stuff. It's especially useful, I think, for visual thinkers.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I upgraded from Curio Core with the special pricing. This comes at a perfect time for me as I couldn't keep Curio running at all times because of memory limitations. With the upgrade to 16GB I can keep most things running including Curio.
At first glance, the new update looks great. Some thing will take a while to get used to, but will probably be better. I am eagerly awaiting their iOS offering. I truly believe that if they developed a strong iOS product that their sales would go through the roof.
