Interesting, simple new outliner for Macs - in the TaskPaper mould: http://www.foldingtext.com

Yes, this does look interesting. Not sure from your comment, Hugh, if you're aware that FoldingText IS the work of the guy who developed TaskPaper.

Yes, Jesse Grosjean. He has a talent for simplicity, I think. One thing that intrigues me is the "pomodoro" plug-in - outliner plus timer, not a combination I've come across before. Even in the well-explored field of outliners, there appear to be new ideas to be found!

Hi.
When you use FoldingText as an editor, the Pomodor plug-in makes sense. Nice idea to integrate that.
Franz (waiting for Jesse to port FoldingText to the iPad)

I've seen it once before, in Inforecall http://inforecall.com/Features.html discussed sometime ago here. It makes sense in this approach as well, i.e. for registering billing time.
I believe that it existed in previous versions of TheBrain too, but I don't seem to see it anymore.

I should add that the clean and simple interface of FoldingText is something I would very much like to see in a Windows or Linux application. I guess it's an issue of Apple-related culture.

I have used the beta for awhile and it looks great. I use Taskpaper for most of my quick lists, and may switch to FoldingText when there is an iOS app. Jesse Grosjean does some great work.
