Steve, many thanks.
Another very useful review. (My - previously cursory - opinion of VP has been turned on its head.)

Thanks, Hugh.
I should clarify that I don’t actually use VoodooPad in my daily work… how many info apps can one REALLY use effectively at the same time? But if someone told me I could ONLY use VoodooPad, I think I could be very happy with it overall.

Steve, your reviews make me wish I owned a Mac to be able to work with these wonderful tools. Seriously, you might want to try your hand at restaurant reviews at some point, you could make a lot of money :-)
Fortunately Mac is not an option for me, as in both my work and family I work with people in the PC World; nevertheless it’s good to know what one’s missing!

Thanks for the kind words, Alexander. There is a definite tug of war I feel using a MacBook for my personal life, and a PC for my day job. If I could choose to, I would choose a Mac for work as well, mostly because I would love to be able to use Tinderbox to stay on top of daily office routine. Nevertheless, there are certainly advantages to Windows/PCs. I find the online/browsing experience much more efficient and less troublesome on the PC. I’ve been less than thrilled with the latest OS (Lion) for the Mac… Applications crash sometimes, when they never did on earlier OS versions. The new help system, which is something sort of universal that Apple has foisted onto everyone, is awful. It is so ironic that Apple launched the Mac with that “Big Brother 1984” commercial all those years ago, and now they are much more of a big brother than Microsoft or IBM ever was.
That said, my MacBook boots up quickly, and generally gives me much fewer problems than my wife’s Levono laptop running Windows 7 gives her.
