I don’t suppose CT lends itself to multiple fields per item and displaying them in a sortable table (as in a spreadsheet or database table)? Wouldn’t expect that of a Wiki ... screenshots don’t seem to suggest it .. just thought I’d ask.

I’m not sure if I understand your question entirely, but CT can create a summary table based upon finding specific attributes (or properties) from filtered topics.
Here is a link to a screen clipping of a summary table that has the name and wiki link to topics in the 1st column, the author listed in the 2nd, and theme in the 3rd:
The coding for this is pretty simple:
[[$SUMMARY: |AUTHOR|Theme]]
Before the first pipe character, I could insert an expression that would filter the selection.
I am still learning about this feature and this is the limit of my knowledge now.
