I believe there are some additional solutions, if you don't necessarily need the same piece of software in both platforms, but are happy with compatible files. The first that springs to mind is the combination of Onenote and Mobilenoter http://www.mobilenoter.com/
There's a new entry called, quite originally, Android Outliner http://android-outliner.blogspot.com/p/outliner-help.html which can read/write Natara Bonsai files.
There are also some alternatives from the mind mapping world (essentially 2 dimensional outlines) such as Thinking Space http://www.thinkingspace.net/ which can read/write Freemind and MindManager flies. Unfortunately, Freemind and MindManager both have outline modes, but Thinking Space doesn't.

Evernote now has a basic form of outlining, and I believe that Springpad also has a simple outliner. Toodledo is cross platform, but only allows outlines with two levels, although they do have tags and folders.

Do you use Orgmode?
The installation is too complicated for me.
http://orgmode.org/org.html#Installation
I need to edit the Makefile, and don't understand exactly what part of the file to edit.
Can you mail me your Make file so that I can compare it to the installation instructions & edit my Makefile

Yes, I use it on both Windows and Linux.
I assume you're on Windows? Then this page is for you:

I'm current using IRT GTasks Outliner on my Android http://www.irtgtasksoutliner.com/ that automatically syncs with my Google Tasks.
On my desktop browser I use https://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas?pli=1 to view and edit my tasks in outliner mode.
However, most of my editing of the tasks/outline is done on my Android.

Lately, the site dottech.org/ has been announcing several free Android apps. You can see previous ones at dottech.org/freebies/ .

Also, Mindomo has native apps for Windows, Android, and iPhone/iPad (and OSX?), and they all sync to the web version. I posted about it recently here: http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/4069/0/mindomo
I have been using it very heavily for a few weeks now and have no complaints. In particular, sync is very reliable. I really love being able to open and work on my outlines on the Android tablet while on the train or at the beach, and then open the same outline on my Windows machine. Although it is styled as a mindmap rather than an outliner, I use it mostly as an dual-pane outliner. The outline (map) is the main pane and I keep the notes window open so every time I select an item I see the notes associated with the item. Unlike what I think of as a true mindmap, it only really allows each node to have one parent. You can force it to use an explorer-tree layout, which makes it even more like an outliner. To my surprise, however, I am finding that I use a wheel/spoke style layout more often as it allows me to see more branches at once.

Some apps for iPad are compatible with iPhone/iPod Touch, but not all. Mindomo does not appear to support iPod/Phone at this time.
