Seeing this was a shocking, but pleasant surprise. Thanks for the heads up.

If my software review deserves such kind words -- that's a big if -- it's due to all the smart people on this forum, from whom I've learned so much about this type of software. I very much appreciate this community. Thank you.

No "if", Steve. The review is really great: It is a meaningful review plus an informative tutorial on top.
James Fallows simply gives credit where credit is due.

Congratulations! How many people get rave reviews for their reviews!?

That's insanely awesome.

At the same time, I'm also glad to see Mr. Fallows back writing geeky posts about PIM software.

DaXiong, thanks for your kind words but --speaking for myself- I have definitely received much more than I have given here over the years.

I echo Steve's words of appreciation for this community, which has supported me in many more ways than one would imagine. This goes for the regular contributors as well as the not-so-regulars and even the one-offs, and includes much gratitude for the underrepresented but priceless female perspective...

Steve, Fallows' praise is very well deserved: whether in your blog or a technical resource like Appstorm, you provide quality and depth --not because an editor-in-chief is keeping an eye on you, but simply because you respect your audience. The web is a powerful tool for reaching out to people; if everyone used it with your sense of responsibility, it would be a much better place.
