It seems like the long-awaited resurrection of Walling is here. It is being rebranded as Walling.io. I am unsure in what ways it differs from the original Walling, though it is a little more expensive and it seems to have integrated AI. Learn more here:
https://walling.io
I wish they had a document noting the differences.

Good question. I will say this for them, unlike many other "developers" who took over a mature product with promises of further development, the new owners of Walling do seem to have tried to make good. I don't think it is an app I need any longer; however, if I were still working, I think I would give it a try. The "old" Walling was pretty useful.

I gave up my subscription this summer before it renewed. I gave them two years of paid subscriptions and pretty much got nothing in return. And I also received no response on my cancellation asking me why, or if I would be willing to extend with a discount. Basic items like the web clipper were never fixed or even addressed.
I have been using Craft, and appreciate that it is being actively developed. It is different than Walling, but it serves my purposes well, and it more flexible than Walling. Also, they offered me a reasonable lifetime annual renewal rate a couple of years ago, at a rate far lower than what walling is charging for their new release.
I just need to export my data from Walling and then I will be fully done with them.
