I just watched the video from the developer, Christopher Lawley, introducing Parchment, which combines reminders and calendar items, with a daily note-taker. It's just for Apple ecosystem:

It's a really nice little app (no, I couldn't resist, I went ahead and bought it, although it no longer fits into my workflow!) A couple of shortcomings: you can enter markdown, but to render it – assuming you've checked the "render markdown" setting, you have to switch to another day or app. It doesn't obey conventional keyboard shortcuts, either.

But for a tiny little app with a negligible footprint, it's really rather good – a lot better than many much more sophisticated task managers.

Oh dear: you can tell I'm having to check a very long, tedious document in precise detail, which is why my inner CRIMPer is so easily distracted. Dang!

I couldn't resist also, and bought it. I will not use it much, but it's a keeper. I have a good rhythm of creating a daily note in Obsidian auto-populated with events and a lot of related data via a Typinator macro. In Obsidian I have a web tab next to the daily note, where Craft's web interface sits open to that day's daily note in Craft. Yes, I two connected daily notes. Obsidian's daily is a hub for all the long-form notes I add to Obsidian. Craft's daily note is where I log the way Lawley does in his video. Events sit right next to the note, tasks (including from Apple Reminders) sit inside the note the day they are due. I drag events or tasks into the Craft note as blocks, and if needed I drill down into the event to add notes to the event.

Good grief, you sound as bad as me! I currently keep daily notes in a mixture of UpNote and Obsidian, but I'm beginning to shift back to Obsidian after finding (a) BeautyTasks, which is seriously cool even if still relatively new, and (b) a neat calendar plugin that automatically syncs my Apple Calendar(s) with Obsidian's daily notes.

I'm impressed by your drag-and-drop relationship between Craft and Obsidian – very entertaining, very CRIMP! I like the fact that Parchment refers directly to Apple Reminders and Calendar; it's a neat synergy. Would be even better if you could edit events/reminders without actually opening the apps concerned (I don't like the teeny-tiny font in Reminders), but hey, you can't have everything. Although I have installed a neat little Reminders plugin in Obsidian that hooks into macOS to issue system reminders as well as Obsidian-specific reminders... I've only just started testing it, so I hope it works as advertised.
