Just lettting you know that version 4 is in beta testing with an anticipated release date of August 2009. There are many worthwhile enhancements and additions, but no calendar yet. A request to participate should be addressed to Kinook.

Jon,
Thank you for the hint.
I am still using UR even development has slowed down. The coming release of v4 and the regular minor bug fix releases during the year make me optimistic that UR will have a future. Further, it is very stable and reliable.

Agreed -- I've worked with the UR 4 beta and, honestly, I would never have guessed that it was a major point release. Seems more like a 3.6 bug-fix upgrade to me. Having said that, it is nice to see some development happening with UR. -- Glen

I agree. I'm glad to see work being done on UR as it is a good program but to me it appears to be masked as more Kinook dbl talk. It's being numbered like so to make folks think it is still being actively developed when in fact, it is not.

Let's be honest. Its being numbered as a major release because people are more prone to upgrade to them and you make more money. I can hardly blame them.
But perhaps I'm the wrong guy to ask. I would be unlikely to try a new UR release without calendar support. It is (to me) obviously the next major step and as far as I'm concerned there will be no major upgrades without it no matter what the number.

You're spot on, Tom.
I can hardly blame them either but It just smells bad IMO &, combined w their past behavior re: development issues, it doesn't change the taste in my mouth.
