I am curious as to whether Ultra Recall is still being developed. It appears to have stalled although it still has adherants who seem quite happy with it.
What are thoughts of people here who may still use UR, or are considering using it?
Thanks.

It's up against formidable competition, but it remains an excellent, bullet proof and versatile application. I rely on this and InfoQube for information management.
UR is still being developed but incrementally. It is a mature program and it's pace of development reflects that. Some features that were hinted at were never incorporated but I don't miss them. Searching through your database is very comprehensive and can be very precise.

I also still use it as it is a powerful and flexible information database. Development is slow but not abandoned, focusing on fixes. So I consider it to be "done" and use it with the current feature set.

If there was future development, what features do you think could be, or would you like to see, added?
FWIW, I find the user interface rather dated, although admittedly it does appear to me in ways. Thanks.

There was a discussion a long time ago about implementing a second tree view. I don't know how or why I would use it, but there are workarounds that accomplish similar things.

I don't know what would be added. The latest list of changes is here: https://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=5812 and they're either useful UI enhancements or bugfixes. I expect UR to continue as a hierarchical data organiser focused on item attributes, keywords, forms and saved searches. I particularly like the fact that items can have multiple parents and that searches can be nested.
What I would like to see, but I don't expect it to happen, is an Android app so I can access the data on my phone. A minor feature that I would like to have is Word Count, but since UR's primary function is as a PIM and not a writing program, it doesn't surprise me that it's missing.
