This a long essay by Stephen Wolfram(of Mathematica fame) from 2019 about how he stays productive. It touches on topics such as file organization and note taking. I thought a few people here might find it interesting:

Interesting. I’d heard some of his lifestyle before.
Funny how society can look down on practical things. His walking desk setup might look like something out of a Far Side cartoon but it’s probably useful.
I go just about everywhere with a sling pack. It’s a manly thing, burly and tacticool looking, but it’s still a close cousin to a fanny pack. The ugly bottom line is that by the time you load up with a field notebook or two, a bottle of water, multi-tool, cell phone, keys, wallet, pocket knife, and whatever implements of self-reliance you can’t do without, a…

I love my sling pack - wear it anywhere, and I am less likely to put it from somewhere and then leave without it.
