Suggestions for a reminder app for the macOS and iOS

I’m trying to hunt down a simple reminder app that can display reminders as a countdown sticky on the desktop and can be synced between other Macs and the iPhone and iPad. Currently, I am using Big Day Countdown, which has the basic requirements I am after:

But this app does not sync and is somewhat cumbersome to use. If such apps as Tick Tick had a feature to display reminders on the desktop, as Big Day Countdown does, it would be the ultimate app for me. I am open to all different types of suggestions. :)
