Basic features, unlike the dazzling obsidian app which almost rivals desktop features. But verdict for this pre-release alpha/beta/RC: works & looks good & stable with large folders & large files. importing my big or even medium OPML files: not good yet, hangs, but no freeze.
Tip: share one local data folder on the phone for both Logseq & Obsidian apps, both must haves. As i predicted last year both will own Roam in time, not to mention another desktop Roam killer. Nor something better than all android versions, not public yet.
Obsidian android app is working great too, vault load is fast since summer update, a large vault & a 20meg Thesaurus loads up in less than 10secs, almost as fast as Windows desktop version.
Lots of new stuff out recently, i do not mean any web_based subscription_pricing & not knowing who has our private cloud_data & who will buy it in future based in whatever lawless territory.
One of the recent released goodies i have been testing for a couple of days:

Thanks, washere – interesting to see Android progress here, too.

Let me second the thanks for the information, washere.
I have been amazed at how fast the developers have added new features to Logseq, especially over the last couple of months. I missed out on getting a place to try out the iOS beta app, so I am not sure what it is like at the moment. But from the way the developers have been working on the desktop version, I am sure it will be something to look forward to. :)

Yes that's great how fast ethical Roam alts have progressed so fast. More to come. iOS version is coming out soon too according to them.

Pleasure Bill. Yes lots of good competition. Obsidian is a must, too.
Meanwhile for Android users again, here's another new Android app I just got, for reading ebooks (epub), txt & PDF, with dark mode, many options & like my fave pricey reader apps has the crucial continuous smooth vertical scroll for checking ebooks quickly & it's free:

Apparently, there's some trouble with the iCloud sync. The developers are working with Apple to resolve it before the test version is made available through TestFlight.

iOS is now out on TestFlight, but has a few issues.
Here is a video to work round some installation issues:

For now you have to keep it in a "Logseq" folder in the root of your iCloud folder, and you can't use custom date formats... (so I can't use it myself yet). I'm sure it will get updated soon to address these and other issues.

Nice. Android ver updated a few notches too.
Also android & desktop versions for all platforms updated, still in beta.
All in-app update checkers & updaters are still flakey, just dopwnload & run, keeps data/settings.
Click on ASSETS to see installers:
https://github.com/logseq/logseq/releases
To get newbies started:
small opml sample file to get to import, right click RAW button at top & save link as...
https://github.com/scripting/instantOutlines/blob/main/outlines/twitter/davewiner.opml
Big buncha files to import as Roam JSON, click on DOWNLOAD button at bottom:
don't import this if you already have many files, installs lots of small files into Logseq!
https://github.com/npstorey/civicroam/blob/main/CivicRoam.json
On the android mobile, can import logseq's own tutorials docs too as local files.
Checkout community plugins & themes in plugins in desktop version menu, at top click MARKETPLACE then Themes/Plugins button under it to see.
Nice dark themes + cool plugins.

the big json sample file: you need to right click on DOWNLOAD too, then SAVE AS.... again.
importing that json takes about 10 to 15 minutes, just wait. do not import if have more than a few files of your own.
Your personal files, convert to ompl & import, many apps do it.

The logseq iOS app was released last December, but it is this week that it is finally good enough to properly load my large and complex graph on my phone without too much difficulty. Very fast work actually, with huge performance improvements every couple of weeks. I expect it to continue to improve apace, and the premium sync service is supposedly close to being ready for private beta testing.

Yes coming along slow but steady & nicely.
About 18 months ago iirc, few of us on interwebs said the fancy Roam will be bested by newcomer ugly duckling Obsidian.
Few other black horses to keep an eye, but not much momentum with them.
Now I'd say given enough time due to a few strategic choics, the slow turtle LogSeq might in the end beat them all.
Long way to go yet tho, but almost certain now.

With the today's update I finally find the iOS app to be fast enough to really use on a regular basis. Still missing a bunch of features from the desktop app (such as plugins and PDF reading) but I'm really happy with it as it is.

Just noticed that Dave Winer is one of the main contributors to Logseq's $4.1m 1st-round funding.
