Recent mentions of My Life Organized has lead me to trying it out. I really haven't looked at MLO for about 10 years or more. I recall way back then when I tried it out, there was a product that was fairly similar, but I forget what it was called. Yesterday I looked at a few sites which show products similar, keying in MLO, to see if the software I remembered, but the name of which I forget, was listed. I did not find what I was looking for (assuming that I would have recognized its name had it bee.
I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I do remember that this other product was, at the time, fairly similar to MLO.
If anyone can help me with this, admittedly, vague question I would be most appreciative. Thanks.

I've never seen MLO, but I used one called "Life Balance" that was based on the GTD principles. So was "Midnight Inbox". The latter was a nice program that the author was promising was about to come out with a new version, and that was about 15 years ago.

If you're thinking of the one with the Syncing capabilities there's also Cozi Family Organizer.
There's EssentialPIM but that's more of a Personal Info manager with Calendars, Tasks, Passwords, etc.. There's also a few others along this line but a little different like DoogiePIM or Zoot.
Have a good one,

Or Kontact and Chandler are others that I can think of but one I think may be discontinued. Not sure if they were free or open source or something like that. Been a while since I tried them but I kept a note of it.

Was it perhaps Masterlist Professional? I found it in a list of outliners that I made in 2009. It doesn't seem to be available any more. This review has a screenshot: https://accidentaltechnologist.com/technology/staying-organized-with-masterlist-professional/

Daly,
an app similar to MLO is Remember the Milk, which is still being developed.

Thanks Franz. I have a dormant RTM account, so I will look at it again!

This thread demonstrated just how fleeting PIMs are. Let's start with Lotus Agenda, PackRat, Ecco, Ascend, Lotus Organizer, Desktop Set, and DayTimer. This was followed by a geometric increase in apps, followed by a geometric attrition rate that continues to this day. Now everything seems to be going to cloud-based and subscription-based.

The longevity comes, once again, from big companies. MS Outlook is not my favourite PIM by any means, but I've been using it consistently for work at various employers since 2000. The Google equivalents probably do the same for many people.
