Obsidian's mobile app for iOS / iPadOS and Android is in alpha testing with a limited user group, with the expectation that broader beta testing will come soon.
It is already a very useful and fully-featured app on iOS/iPadOS (I cannot speak to how things are on Android):
* Syncs (on iOS/iPadOS) via Apple's CloudKit service. Optionally the fee-based Obsidian Sync feature could be used for documents not stored in iCloud.
* Includes most of the features that the Desktop app has. The user-contributed plugins are also available in the mobile app.
* Includes a URI scheme so that Shortcuts, etc., on iOS/iPad can be used to extend access to/from Obsidian with other apps on the device
I find it interesting that Erica Xu and Shida Li have managed to make a robust Electron app on macOS (and Windows), and then port that almost entirely and seamlessly onto the Apple mobile architecture. All of this in less than a year (10 months).

Decent overview of Obsidian, but take it with a little salt because he also prefers general writing in Sublime Text (ugh).

And in other Obsidian news, there is now an Outliner plugin, which allows for zooming/hoisting (like FoldingText):

I lose credibility because I prefer Sublime Text?
That is funny. Thanks for reading and posting the link here.

Wow. Now THIS is something that might make me switch back. I'll have to give it a try...
