I recently signed up for Readwise.io and am very happy with it, especially because of its tight integration with Roam Research. (I think the developers have early access to the forthcoming Roam API.)
For those who don’t know, Readwise is an app that syncs up your highlights from multiple sources: Kindle, Instapaper, Hypothesis, and even PDFs that you upload (or email to them) yourself. It has tons of great features, like the ability to add notes to your highlights that tell Readwise something is a section heading, or add tags while you read. If you pay for a subscription (they have a one month free trial and a 50% academic discount) you can then auto-sync all of this to Roam (as well as a number of other services).
There are a lot of other features in the app that I don’t use (such as the ability to review your notes), but just the Roam integration is enough to make it worth it for me. Be sure to read through the documentation to see what else it can do…
