Outline Folding Mode
Added a new Writer outline folding mode (as experimental feature). You should enable experimental features in Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ Advanced dialog to see "Show outline content visibility button" checkbox in Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice Writer ▸ View dialog. After checking it you'll can see a button with arrow near any selected heading in your document. Click on it to fold all text from the current heading to next heading. Right click on it to fold all text from current heading to next the same level heading with all its subheadings tdf#38093 (Jim Raykowski)

I haven't used LibrrOffice in a while, but like the navigator function, allowing I've to hide/reveal or rearrange headings in a separate panel. Sounds like Outlining has fans!

In my original post, I made a typo: "I haven’t used LibreOffice in a while, but like the navigator function, allowing I’ve to hide/reveal or rearrange headings in a separate panel. Sounds like Outlining has fans!" It should have been "allowing one to hide/reveal," not "allowing I've." Another one of those, "gee I wish I could edit a posting" issues. Sorry to be confusing.

Ah okay, thanks!

I looked into it a little more. Current app version is 7.01 but folding won't be a standard feature until v7.1 in February. Settings and implementation are clunky and a little ugly, but it seems to be a useful feature.

A little sad that 'persistence' is a feature worth noting or demonstrating.

Interesting videos, thanks. Yeah, it is a little clunky. The navigator feature has always allowed folding and structural rearrangement. But the addition of in-text folding, however roundabout, feels like it's a step in the right direction. I'd like to be able to move things around in the text, too.
