So I’ve used pretty much everything here, and still have a Pinboard account as well, but my current favorite method is to use Roam Research. It is hard to explain how Roam works if you haven’t used it, but the concept of “backlinks” means that you can enter data in a “daily journal” but then go to the tag page and see all the items with that tag in their original context. I find having this context to be much more valuable than just having a big list of links with tags. So, for instance, if I’m shopping for a new vacuum cleaner I might enter an item in my Daily Journal called “#shopping for [[vacuum cleaner]]” and then list all the links below that: comparison reviews, possible purchases, etc. Then if I later went to the #shopping page I would see a link to the [[vacuum cleaner]] page and be able to quickly find all my related links. And, if in the process, I see something else I might need for the house, that would be listed too. The networking of these links and knowledge is far more valuable to me than a mere list of links.
