Mac, iOS only I think.

That article notes that it’s a Mac app too.

It’s promising as a notetaking app. MacStories oddly compares it to Notion, which is a personal Wiki. To me it’s more like a souped-up Apple Notes (or Google Keep).

I have tried it (inevitably); it’s a very elegant app, but its search function is rudimentary, acting more as a simple filter. By this I mean it narrows down the list of notes with the search term in them, but doesn’t give you any way of finding the search term within the actual note (nor does it provide the standard Cmd+F and Cmd+G keyboard shortcuts).
However, the rest of it is impressively well designed, although the wavy scrolling feature might cause some users to feel mildly seasick - fortunately you can switch it off!
It’s still a relatively new app, and appears to be actively updated, so it may become everything one could wish. My interest declined rapidly when I discovered the search limitations, however. Also, it has a disconcerting way of activating the Mac’s microphone, even though it doesn’t (at the moment) an audio recording function (although you can attach audio files if you’ve got a Pro subscription - note that it also offers a “Lifetime” purchase option). I’m always a bit nervous of apps that start playing around with my AV environment, which is why I use an app called Oversight to alert me to possible security infringements (which it promptly did when I launched Noto, telling me about the microphone activation).
I’ve asked the developer about both the above issues; I’ll let you know when/if I hear back.
Cheers,
Bill

I have found a different app with the same name that is free and a joy to use: https://github.com/alialbaali/Noto
This one is on Android, and it’s plain text, local storage only. It has a great tagging system where you can define separate tags for each folder, which display in a row across the top of the screen, and you can click on a tag to quickly select the tagged notes.
I use it for super-short notes, that are like having a list except the list is the screen showing the notes. The notes feel like index cards.
