Hi Michal,
Excellent comparison! I’ve never tried WebResearch but now I feel as if I have :-)
Just a couple of clarifications on Surfulater which I have been using for almost two years now and am delighted.

SUL (Surf-U-Later) also has a toolbar icon in IE at least (I don’t have Firefox). Check your toolbar settings in IE.

SUL indeed has a multiple document tabbed interface. I think that you can check this in the trial version by opening the help database. You should be able to see this along with the default knowledge base in spite of the one database limitation, as far as I remember.

I rechecked my IE settings, but in IE there’s only SUL button, not a toolbar. Am I missing something? (I hope the links to the screen captures work…)

Yup I noticed “help” opens in a tab next to the database tab, but I wasn’t sure if you could open multiple databases in tabs. Thanks Alexander, that’s great news and yet another reason for me to go for SUL.

No, you’re not missing anything; by “toolbar icon” I meant button; sorry for the confusion.
From the screenshots, I am indeed impressed by WR’s editing features, though I don’t really miss them. I only use the web for reference information that I have no need to edit—apart for removing the ads and stuff that might have been gathered along, and Surfulater does that easily.
