Is there anyone using a Linux Outliner? If so, which one? I’ve used Notecase (not a real outliner). I can’t get Vimoutliner installed on my Acer AspireOne. I’m looking for a simple single pane outliner.

George,
I think tkoutliner will work for you:

tkoutline remains the only graphically based single pane outliner I’ve found—but it’s very limited in use. I anted up for Notecase Pro, and have been very happy with it. It has hoist, mark and gather, word count, spell check, exporting and importing to and from various formats, does embedded links, will print, and is under extensive and rapid development. http://www.virtual-sky.com/index.php
There’s an older program that works much like KAMAS for Linux, running from a terminal. It’s called hnb - hierarchical notebook. You can find it at http://hnb.sourceforge.net/—but it’s moribund these days. Still, easy to set up, use, etc.

I appreciate the suggestions and I’ll be trying out these outliners. Thank you, georgeB-)
