I already have two mindmapping apps I switch between (Mindnode, iThoughtsX) but the outlining modules are perfunctory. It would be nice to have something more powerful and fast.
According to Inspiration there’s flexibility in writing, with the option of different text formatting for ‘sister’ topics, and
“Rearrange topics simply by dragging. Subtopics and notes move automatically. Change idea hierarchy, split or combine topics, transform lists to topics and subtopics, and demote and promote groups of subtopics to fine tune your work.”
It looks decent:

Does anyone have experience with the Mac version?

I’ve used Inspiration 9 for a number of years—almost always for the sake of the diagraming view, not outlining. Although they are certainly tied together. The outliner never struck me as being special or better than others.
Inspiration 9 is not 64-bit, which Mojave complains about. It will die not not updated in the next year or so.
There has been no updates for 4 years, and very little attention to the iOS version. The Mac version has a dated, somewhat pixelated interface, and does not uses standard macOS services for fonts and colors—another possible indication that it may cease functioning at some point.
It’s a great app, sadly neglected by its owner.

Ah. That’s too bad. Thanks for the heads-up.
The search continues.
