Here's another online writing app with "outlining." But outlining here seems to mean something like onscreen structural notes, not part of the document. There's a 15 day trial, otherwise $9.99 a month, or $4.99 for early adopters. It's reasonably attractive, but I'm not sure there's much new.
You can find it at https://blurt.app/
- 15-day free trial (cancel anytime at no cost).
- Write in a simple, clean, distraction free space.
- Smart Edit identifies hard to read sentences, provides synonyms and helps make your writing strong and clear.
- Timed and word count sessions get you into a flow.
- Blur prevents your inner critic from self-editing too soon.
- Daily word count goal helps you develop the writing habit.
- Use the outline to structure and keep notes.
Save unlimited drafts and access on desktop or mobile.
Share your work from your own personalized profile.

Thanks for this, jaslar. I like the idea of blurring your writing as you write, to kill the inner critic. But other applications also do something similar.

Blur as you type? I have a hard enough time typing as I type, let alone not seeing what I doing. Seems masochistic to pay about $120/year for the aggravation. :-)
