Distraction free mode for Google Docs

I ran across this extension last night, available for Chrome and Firefox. Here's the Firefox link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/distraction-free-google-docs/?src=userprofile

And a video: http://flowapps.co/distractionfree/

Obviously, only in the Google ecosystem, but with outlining view turned on, full screen, and Google's keyboard commands for navigating by header, this is a powerful and pleasant writing environment.

Also has a night mode. And it's free.

P.S. Here is the link for the Chrome version:

BTW, here is a little trick for Google Drive users:

Type doc.new into a browser search bar and see what happens :) This trick also works for other Google Drive apps:

P.S. Not sure if it works in all browsers on all platforms, and I presume you'll need to be logged into Google...

Has this stopped working for everyone else?

(I'm on a Chromebook)

Well, managed to sort of fix it in Chrome by installing this CSS over it and running them together:

Still on a Chromebook here, too, and I don't notice a change--although it has always had the problem of not being able to reposition the mouse by clicking. It still generally looks and works the same. What did it stop doing for you?

Looks like it might be a device-specific issue, as it's only occurring on my aging Dell 7310, which is coming to its end of life in June.

After the latest Chrome OS system update the midnight and dark themes stopped working.

Never mind, the CSS was a good fix.

Thanks.
