I thought it was 2, some programs seem to be limited to 2Gb on 32 bit systems, I don’t know, looking on the internet there are some who quote 4 Gb as the limit which would make the extre usage of RAM by Right Note on a 32 bit system even more insignificant.

The flickering is extreme on my machine.
It’s a good Core i7 with 32GB RAM and a GTX950 graphics card and all the other CRIMPers stuff like Connected Text or Ultra Recall works fine.
But Right Note 4.5.0.0 is just very bad when i resize the main window, You can sell how the icon bars are cleaned and redrawn. And this is for all GUI themes i tried.
And browsing the example notes is the same, the history is flickering like hell and while moving between text notes is fine, when i switch between text, spreadsheet, source code or webviews it doesn’t feel good, especially when you use the cursor to fast scroll down the notes overview tree.
Try it and tell me again if i’m wrong, the latest version has become worse quality or you finally agree.

Theory helps practice. But not always practice coincedes with theory.
2^32=around 4GB. That’s theory.
Yet with Win OS (in my case at least) the 4GB of physical Ram is seen by the OS only partially: 3031Mb (Everest utility data) in the portable PC and a little more in the desktop (in both cases graphic cards present, with their own Ram).
In the WinOS environment, with few peculiar exceptions, a single application cannot take on its own more than 2GB. That’s why some hungry software are made nowadays 64bit only.
Back to outliners, RN is one of the most demanding in memory. Other responsive outliners take much less RAM. It was already pointed out in this thread the case of TreePad, But in my experience this is so also with ConnectedText (15-20Mb), Mybase (idem) and, after RN v.4.5, Ultrarecall (30-40Mb) and Wiznote (50-60Mb).

No problems for me with the latest version. Update your graphics driver, maybe?

I do see the toolbar and history list repaint flickering that Lothar mentions, but it’s not something I would call extreme, unless you are doing something extreme like resizing your window back and forth, again and again :-).
All things considered, I much prefer the current “old” UI to Material Design expanses of borderless white boxes, making me guess where one window ends and another starts, where shades of grey “distinguish” items, where input fields are hard to locate, and where interfaces lose their individual character and all look like Google.
