This is not related to outlining. But, I find this finder replacement app quite fun to use because it emulates Sublime Text.

The keywords are also the same; probably it configures itself to be so because I have Sublime installed.

Finder is great these days, especially with TotalFinder. But, installation of Total finder requires turning off SIP, which is a lot of hustle.

I was using Pathfinder. But, Pathfinder is becoming hectic these days: consuming a lot of resources.

- Forklift is fine: but, totally slows down if you open a folder of more than 10,000 files: Marta opens it in a flash.

Marta seems promising...I like the fact that it is fully configurable like Sublime. The setting is like sublime also; json file. It also has nice themes.

Marta looks interesting, and the row listing F-Keys commands is an interesting choice, a bit of a throwback. Not bad for free!

I've been using Forklift, which looks similar but has a Finder-like customizable sidebar, which is so useful I switched to it from Commander One Pro. It also is an FTP/SFTP app (as well as including a mini menubar app for ftp), and does useful things like multi-file rename, image preview and has right-click options like "Move To Dropbox" and 'Open In Terminal."

Light/dark modes too.

As for TotalFinder, I love the colored labels. It's a shame BinaryAge couldn't provide a smoother workaround for dealing with SIP. If they did I'd probably be using their TotalSpaces app right now.

Hmm, this site didn't grok the whole png URL from BinaryNights I just posted. Here's a bitly version: http://bit.ly/2LiyLBt

And, nice preview of images.

yes, I have also tried Forklift. It is nice application. It just tend to be bogged down when I a folder with larger number (>10,000) of files with it.

it gets slow to open, even slower to delet from these folders.

Pathfinder does well on them. Path Finder also supports the same type of image previews; even more advanced configurations. But, PF has memory leaks that accumulate over time. I have to constantly restart it. I get tired of it over time.

Marta is faster. It doesn't have a preview. Still, the major issue is it cannot show the Finder Tags in the columns. The developer promised they are coming.

But, I still miss the Visor feature of TotalFinder. That was the best to call a Finder. None of the other support a similar feature.
