I also owned a license for Sense and, as far as I remember, after activation it should have no problem working perpetually. However, one wouldn’t be able to update to versions released more than one year after the original license, unless they updated this.
If you do not find a solution do report back, I can check on my side as well.

Thanks Alexander. I used the trial version on a fresh machine and was bale to get what I needed. The version I originally tried was contemporaneous with the license I had but it remained as an expired evaluation version. Perhaps I exceeded my allotment of licenses. I was concerned about the the possibility of being unable to activate if something happened to the business and expressed this to the developer, Dave Ewins. It’s not as if we haven’t experienced this before. His response was, “Thank you for highlighting this obvious issue - I will consider possible options.” Nothing was communicated after this, but I too did not pursue it.

Jon,
Silva Elm is still present and thanks for raising the issue that the Buy Now / Renew links have been inadvertently broken - I am currently trying to resolve this problem with the Online Payment provider.
Regarding the issues you have raised previously (circa 2015), the next version of Sense will not need Registration / Product Keys - simply the License Key that is provided at the time of purchase.
This does mean that there will be no license expiry with the ability to re-install using the original License Key on a different machine.
I do hope this helps and alleviates your concerns.
I am planning a new release of Sense later this year following a rather extended development. more details will be released in due course.
Regards
Dave Ewins
